Mrs. Urian's Kindergarten class created these leaf rubbing resists. First they used textured leaf plates to create the leaf rubbings. This is a form of printmaking. Next they painted over the rubbings with watercolor. The crayon rubbings resisted the watercolor paint. Last they cut out a large leaf and glued it in the center of the paper. They used only greens, purples and oranges; the secondary colors to create this piece of art. This was one of the lessons created during the unit on color.
